Up before the sun and not wanting to disturb Mr. U’s “beauty rest”, I set off to take a few early morning photos in Gamla Stan before the weekend crowds congested the cobblestone alleyways of Stockholm’s Old Town. The only sound shattering the morning’s silence was that of my camera’s shutter incessantly clicking away. The hour just after sunrise is my favourite time to walk around and shoot. It also gives me a chance to do some serious window shopping - shhh, don’t tell Mr. U. There may have been a few pre-planned purchases this afternoon but I can neither confirm nor deny that statement.
