Saturday's "Tour About Town"

Nothing witty to say this time -please enjoy the images.
Taken from inside the tour bus, hence the reflection in the window.  This is my favourite photo to date.

The back of St.Basil's cathedral (I pulled out my crayons for this one and managed to colour inside the lines!)

The front of St. Basil's cathedral

At the edge of Red Square

The House on the Embankment

Stone Bridge -note the soviet-era "sheaf of wheat" design on the guard rail

Christ the Saviour cathdral

The outer wall and edge of the Новодевичье Convent and cemetery

Раиса ГОРБАЧЁВА

Андреи ТҮПОЛЕВ

Никита ХРҮЩЁВ

Юрий НИКУЛИН -Russia's most famous clown (people leave cigarettes at his monument in his honour)

Moscow State University

Panoramic view of the city where married couples come to have their wedding photos taken.  I found the various dynamics in this one particularly interesting.

And so it begins...

АРБҮЗЫ = watermelons  (Mr. U and I had a row about the plural of watermelon in English -he won)
